InstMC Early Careers Network
The InstMC Early Careers Network held its first meeting on 30 January 2025, marking the launch of an exciting initiative to support engineers at the beginning of their professional journeys.
WHO IS THE NETWORK FOR?
- Newly Qualified Professionals (in their first or second job): Looking for CV support, career guidance, and exposure to different engineering fields.
- Pre-Chartership Engineers: Seeking guidance on achieving professional registration.
- Chartered Engineers: Exploring further career progression or pursuing a Fellowship.
- Engineers at a Career Crossroads: Deciding between a technical specialist or management path.
- Mentees & Mentors: Whether you’re looking for support or keen to give back, the network will connect experienced engineers with those seeking guidance in career development, professional registration and leadership skills.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Whether you’re refining your CV, working towards chartership, or considering your next career move, the Early Careers Network aims to support you. As we grow, we plan to offer mentorship, events, technical conferences and career resources—creating valuable opportunities for both professional and personal development.

KEY ROLES AVAILABLE
Want to play a key role in shaping this initiative? We’re looking for passionate individuals to become founding members and help drive the network forward in the following positions:
- Secretariat – The driving force behind our operations! You'll keep us organised, schedule meetings, track actions, and ensure we turn ideas into reality.
- Marketing Lead –You’ll manage our LinkedIn presence, organise engaging events, and promote our initiatives—helping us reach and inspire more members.
- Mentorship Lead – Overseeing our Mentor Liaison Officers, you'll help coordinate mentorship programs, pair early-career professionals with the right mentors, and support their career growth.
