University Engagement:

Manchester University - The section regularly participates in the Manchester University ‘buggy race’ working with Sella Controls to offer prizes to the best team. Sella controls and the section provide personnel to assist in the judging activities.

Liverpool John Moores University – The section supports the work of the university and has provided technical lectures during the program in partnership with local companies. Each year students are awarded prizes for the best project.

CHAIN – The section has supported the CHAIN program of events with technical lectures to undergraduates. The Manchester event has been well attended in the past and the program aims to share the wide variety of Institutes and promotes professional registration. Support has been provided by Tom Nobes of Sellafield UK (2019 presentation), Steve Ward and Ed Johnson of Endress & Hauser (2020 Equipment support) and Phil Malpas of Tennants Fine Chemicals {now Eternis Fine Chemicals} (2020 Stand Support and Presentation).
