We hold strong ties with Glasgow Caledonian University and Forth Valley College, both of whom run instrumentation focused courses.  We also have an Academic Liaison on our committee, specifically focused towards encouraging professional development and engaging with up and coming engineers and technicians.  Previously the West of Scotland section have held Young Engineer awards, which is something we aim to bring to the new Central Scotland section.
