WCSIM Webinar: Structural integrity using laser speckle interferometry

InstMC members are invited to attend a webinar, ‘Structural Integrity Using Laser Speckle Interferometry’, hosted by the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers on Thursday 24 November at 7pm.

Presented by Professor John Tyrer CEng FIMechE FLIA, Professor of Optical Instrumentation, Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University, the webinar will provide some of the underpinning theory that explains how the instruments work. It will also show what’s different about this type of analysis compared with conventional instrumentation and provide some live demonstrations of the equipment with real-time assessment of some common structures to demonstrate the advantages of this approach.
